"My grandmother has been here since 2002. I've worked here longer than that. I'm really glad she's here. Being at Sedgewood Commons is so much easier for the residents, and so much more practical for families. We're all in it together, so the families share a lot and can open up more, and the residents have a lot in common with others in their community. It's challenging at times, like every family. I know my grandmother is getting wonderful, affectionate care." Kelly Ridley, CNA
"I've worked at Sedgewood Commons since we opened, 10 years ago. My mom has been a resident here since 2000. She worked here as CNA, too, until she had a stroke, which left her with dementia. She came here for day care, and then as a resident. Everyone's been so good to her here, she'd never be able to go anywhere else. I can relate to families, and they relate to me a lot. I see both sides, from working with the residents, and from being a family member. There's so much support at Sedgewood, for the dignity and life history of the residents and for the families."
